DESCRIPTION
The SP 1300 from AZ Machine Tools is a vertical honing machine designed for the machining of cylinder heads for cars and trucks, available in the following versions:
- SP 1300G: for machining with grinding stones
- SP 1300M: for machining with CBN and PCD inserts
These machine tools are made of cast iron for strength and durability, ideal for machine shops, automotive, and industrial applications.
The SP 1300s are designed for high quality and productivity. The sturdy cast iron base is equipped with precision-ground and calibrated guides, both flat and “V”-shaped, which ensure extremely precise feed and parallelism. The cast iron column with dovetail guides and precision spindle bearings contribute to the long life and accuracy of these machines.
The table surface measures 1300×310 mm, with a usable surface area of 1100×340 mm and a maximum table travel of 1300 mm. The table feed speed ranges from 0 to 4650 mm per minute, providing the exact surface finish required for a wide range of materials. The cylinder head has a rapid traverse speed of 1000 mm per minute, with a maximum distance of 740 mm between the grinding plate and the table top. The diameter of the sector grinding wheel or cutter plate is 350 mm, while the automatic movement of the head at each end of the pass can be adjusted from 0.01 to 0.05 mm.
Standard equipment on the SP 1300G includes a coolant system, a pair of parallel supports, a tool holder with insert, blocks and clamping plates, a 350 mm grinding stones holder plate, a wheel extractor, a grinding stones dressing tool, a hydraulic system, an end-of-pass stop device, a rapid up/down device, a 24-volt electrical system, service keys, and an operating manual. The SP 1300M version is supplied with a milling plate for a CBN double insert holder cartridge.
