As the top model in the range, it is designed for machinists who work on cylinder heads and engine blocks of cars and industrial vehicles, as well as any flat surface requiring maximum flatness accuracy.
With a table travel of 1410 mm, it is purpose-built for larger cylinder heads and engine blocks, where lower-capacity models such as the RP1000 CNC cannot reach.
In terms of construction, it stands out for its high-quality cast iron base, which gives it a rigid and robust structure and ensures maximum stability during machining.
The worktable moves with extreme precision thanks to a recirculating-ball screw running on a pair of high-precision linear guides, for a smooth, regular feed that stays repeatable over time.
The innovation of the RP1400 CNC lies in the integration of cutting-edge technologies: the positioning of the milling cutter plate is managed by a brushless motor controlled by the CNC, while the axes and the milling cutter rotation speed are managed by inverters. This allows the operator to control every parameter flexibly and accurately, adjusting the feed speed according to the material and the required finish.
What truly makes this resurfacing machine unique is its laser sensor with 0.01 mm accuracy, which performs a detailed scan of the surface to be machined and records its profile. All the collected data is processed by dedicated software that automates the resurfacing operations: the result is machining with minimal human intervention, consistent repeatability, reduced cycle times and fewer rejects.
The adjustable control panel, equipped with an electronic handwheel and a touch screen display, greatly simplifies interaction with the machine. Intuitive programming makes it possible to store an unlimited number of machining parameters and to estimate the cycle time, ensuring maximum versatility and fully automatic operation.
The Ø 405 mm (16″) twin-slot milling cutter plate accepts CBN, PCD and ALP inserts.
