DESCRIPTION

The PEG 10 has been designed to guarantee maximum precision in engine valve seat machining, minimizing the risk of errors and optimizing overall operating efficiency.
Its technical design is based on a grinding system that combines three coordinated movements:

• Rotational movement of the grinding wheel around its own axis
• Orbital movement of the grinding unit
• Pendulum (oscillating) movement of the operating assembly

This mechanical synergy ensures a constant and controlled point contact between the grinding wheel and the valve seat surface, allowing uniform material removal without generating distortions or loss of concentricity.
The adopted grinding technology makes it possible to obtain a smooth and perfectly concentric surface, with a quality level that makes final lapping unnecessary, as it would even be counterproductive to proper valve sealing.

Precision Components and Robust Construction

Every element of the PEG 10 is manufactured with the utmost attention to mechanical detail.
The main working components – spindle, eccentric shaft, and pilot pins – are ground and matched with minimal tolerances to ensure maximum reliability during grinding operations.
The eccentric shaft, aligned with the motor shaft, features a fixed eccentricity and operates in perfect harmony with the guiding system, enabling precise positioning of the grinding wheel on the valve seat.
All rotating components are statically and dynamically balanced to prevent vibrations and axial or radial play, even after prolonged working cycles. The worm screw gear system, housed in the upper section of the machine, ensures smooth and consistent feed movement, adjustable via a high-sensitivity micrometric feed control.
Before delivery, each machine undergoes rigorous final inspection and testing to certify the concentricity, balance, and symmetry of the entire system.
