DESCRIPTION
The COMEC FSV090 used valve seat boring machine is a machine tool designed for machining valve guides and valve seats on engine cylinder heads, with a level of precision suitable for a wide range of applications, from motorcycle engines up to industrial vehicle engines. The technical configuration allows operation on different types of cylinder heads while maintaining consistent tolerances and good surface finish quality.
The automatic centering system is based on a combination of reference sphere, air cushions, and variable speed electric motor, with parameter visualization via digital display. The three air cushions are distributed between the upper table, spindle, and clamping table, allowing smooth movements and precise positioning of the cylinder head. This solution reduces friction during alignment phases and facilitates centering operations, especially in repetitive machining processes.
The machine’s operating capacity allows machining of valve guides starting from 3.5 mm and seats with diameters ranging from 14 to 90 mm, making it suitable for operations on components of different sizes. The structure is designed to ensure rigidity and stability during machining, essential elements to maintain concentricity between guide and seat.
The universal clamping system, equipped with double pneumatic jaws and 360° rotation, allows the clamping of different types of cylinder heads. The spindle is secured by a pneumatic locking system, while the 200 mm vertical stroke allows handling of different working heights. The mechanically adjustable end stops enable more controlled repetitive machining operations.
From an operational standpoint, the presence of a neon lighting system improves visibility of the working area, while the air cushions reduce effort in cylinder head movement. The equipment includes tool setting instruments, tool holders, grinding unit with diamond wheel, and vacuum tester for sealing tests, allowing complete machining of valve seats without the need for immediate additional equipment.
