DESCRIPTION
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
Produced respecting the traditional production systems of machine tools, the KR-1000 is totally made of spheroidal cast iron in all its main components.
Base, table, column and head are in fact made by means of cast cast iron, thus giving extreme solidity and robustness to the whole machine.
The table slides on the base through a system of flat and prismatic guides and is moved by a variable speed gearmotor, which acts directly on the recirculating ball screw which allows the table to be moved.
The head slides vertically on the column by means of dovetail guides, which is also operated thanks to the ball screw.
WORKING CAPACITY
Certain construction characteristics of the KR-1000, such as the maximum stroke of the table, the distance between the column and the center of the table and the distance between the cutter plate and the table allow the KR-1000 to be the ideal heads and blocks resurfacing and milling machine for medium size engine workshops.
The variable speed of rotation of the grinding wheel and the adjustment of the table feed speed further extend the working possibilities of this exceptional resurfacing machine for heads and blocks.
PROCESSING METHOD
The possibility of working both with abrasive and coolant sectors, or with the brazed carbide tool that is supplied with the standard equipment, increase the work potential of the KR-1000.
Additional optional accessories, such as the cutter plate for PCD and CBN inserts or the supports for inclined heads, can extend the working capacity of the KR-1000, meeting the needs of more experienced engine rebuilders.
