DESCRIPTION

The COMEC RV516 used centerless valve grinding machine stands out for its high precision and operating speed, making it one of the most advanced machines on the market for valve grinding.

This model features an innovative centerless system that allows the valve to rotate on its stem, ensuring perfect concentricity between the valve head and the stem itself, with a tolerance of only 0.01 mm. This technology enables the RV516 to process valves with stem diameters ranging from 4 to 16 mm without the need to change collets or chucks, greatly simplifying and speeding up the grinding process.

The valve is driven by three motorized rollers, with the top roller tilted to facilitate the automatic advancement of the valve to an adjustable end stop. This feature is essential to ensure that all valves are of the same length, eliminating the need for manual alignment with the grinding wheel and optimizing the precision of the operation.

The control lever of the RV516 has a dual function: it brings the valve closer to the grinding wheel during the grinding phase and raises the upper drive roller to allow the replacement of the processed valve without having to shut down the motor. This improves operating efficiency and reduces downtime.

The machine is equipped with a wheel dressing system with micrometric adjustment, a device that maintains the shape and sharpness of the abrasive, essential for precise and consistent grinding over time.

In addition, the used RV516 features an advanced cooling system, complete with a pump and removable settling tank, which effectively controls the temperature during the grinding process, extending the life of the grinding wheel and improving the final quality of the ground valves.

To meet different operational needs, the COMEC RV516 offers additional options such as a second grinding wheel (ASM516), used for valve stem facing and chamfering, and a variable valve speed adjustment device (VGV516), which optimizes the grinding process.

The machine supports workable stem diameters from 4 to 16 mm and lengths from 55 to 330 mm, with the ability to grind valve heads up to 114 mm in diameter and angles from 0° to 60°. The main grinding wheel has a diameter of 215 mm, while the optional secondary wheel measures 100 mm, with a main wheel speed of 2800 rpm.
