Its extreme versatility and practicality make it the ideal machine for the reconditioning of shaft seats, whether for In-Line or V-Shaped engines.
The supporting structure of the horizontal boring machine BT6-VS is represented by a sturdy frame, made of electro-welded steel, which in turn rests on a solid sheet metal base.
The sheet metal base, thanks to a convenient door, also serves as a storage compartment for all the numerous tools and accessories that this line boring machine includes in its standard equipment.
In the upper part, we find the horizontal sliding crossbar that is finely rectified to allow the perfect sliding of the bar support arms.
In order to guarantee a millesimal alignment between the holes of the bar support arms, these are made during the construction phase of the machine, making any possible margin of error practically nil.
This fundamental characteristic must be specified, as it allows an almost perfect alignment of the holes and an extremely precise rotation of the bar.
A correct system without backlash or misalignment determines the real quality of the machine, which is reflected in the quality and precision of the work performed.
All supporting arms are equipped with a quick release lever that allows quick positioning and locking along the upper sliding crossbar.
The head support cradle on which the locking parallels rest is made of solid hardened and ground steel.
The numerous adjustments offered by the BT6-VS horizontal boring machine allow for a very wide range of machining operations.
In fact, the BT6-VS can accommodate engine blocks and cylinder heads up to 810 mm in length and allows a boring range of Ø 24÷85 mm.
Many other settings allow the operator to get the best performances from this machine.
We can mention the variable bar rotation speed from 215÷1300 RPM and the variable feed speed from 0÷1000 mm/min.
A powerful 1.1 kW motor completes the construction of the BT6-VS.
