DESCRIPTION
The Berco MTD 2000 is a CNC turning and grinding machine designed for the machining of drums, brake discs and flywheels, and represents an innovative model within the Berco range. Equipped with advanced technology, this machine offers a number of features that improve its efficiency and precision.
CNC numerical control manages the X and Z axes during turning operations, ensuring high precision and optimized process management. The spindle speed is continuously controlled electronically, keeping the cutting speed constant even when the diameter to be machined varies.
Another feature is the intermittent tool feed on both axes, which can be programmed by the numerical control. This allows the machining process to be flexibly adapted to the specific requirements of the workpiece.
In addition, the machine supports interpolation of the X and Z axes, which allows the conical turning of flywheels. This interpolation capability adds versatility to the machine, allowing it to machine parts with complex shapes and special features.
In terms of machining capabilities, the Berco MTD 2000 offers a wide range of diameters that can be machined:
- For drum turning, allowable diameters range from 150 to 1000 mm
- For drum grinding, allowable diameters range from 175 to 1000 mm
- For brake discs and flywheels, allowable diameters range from 120 to 800 mm
The machine also supports wheels with a maximum diameter of 1500 mm when used with the spindle support device.
