MU1732 – BERCO ASV USED VALVE SEAT CUTTING MACHINE
The used valve seat cutting machine BERCO ASV is in acceptable condition.
DESCRIPTION
The Berco ASV is a boring machine designed for reconditioning valve seats and valve guides in internal combustion engines. This complex and labor-intensive operation, often difficult with inadequate equipment, is made more efficient with the Berco ASV, known for its high productivity and precision.
The Berco ASV valve seat and guide boring machine comprises a number of key components that ensure its versatility and accuracy. The boring unit, the heart of the machine, is mounted on a traverse with a sliding table and can be easily positioned by the operator thanks to an air float system. This mechanism allows the unit to float above the work surface, enabling smooth movements and precise adjustments. Once the desired position is reached, the unit is securely locked by means of a pneumatic clamping system, ensuring stability and precision during the boring process.
The machine features a table that serves as a support base for the engine head and a base frame that provides structural stability and allows for the storage of various fixtures and accessories. The universal cylinder head positioning device allows quick and precise clamping of the heads, facilitating operations even on axes inclined up to ±12 degrees relative to the boring unit, and enables 360-degree rotation of the cylinder head positioning device.
The main operations performed by the Berco ASV include boring of valve guide seats and integral valve guides, even on inclined axes, valve seat grinding, and removal of worn valve seat rings by boring. It is also possible to create counterbores for the installation of new valve seat rings.
From a technical point of view, the Berco ASV can process cylinder heads up to a maximum length of 1150 mm and valve seats with diameters ranging from Ø 18 to 70 mm. For valve seat rings, the working diameters range from Ø 25 to 80 mm. The boring unit offers 8 spindle speeds ranging from 50 to 520 rpm and a maximum vertical travel of 200 mm. The feed per spindle revolution is 51.8 mm/rev, with a maximum table-to-spindle distance of 420 mm.
The machine measures 193×53×196 cm, weighs 625 kg, and the spindle motor has a power of 0.5 kW, requiring a pneumatic pressure of 6 bar for optimal operation. A special feature is the quick set-up of the cylinder head and the fast positioning of the boring unit relative to the seats to be machined, which reduces set-up times and increases overall efficiency.
The Berco ASV allows valve seats to be restored while maintaining their original shape and characteristics, ensuring that the valve seats and valve guides are perfectly coaxial. In addition, the machine supports rapid tool pre-setting off-machine, further optimizing machining times and improving the accuracy of the final result.
