PRI 2018 Performance Racing Industry - The American Motor Show

As in 2017, this year the cold Indianapolis hosted the long awaited PRI 2018 – Performance Racing Industry Trade Show.

The most expected trade fair event by all the engine rebuilders from United Sates and not, took place from 6 to 8 December at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The huge exhibition space of the PRI 2018 was divided into categories such as:

Racing engines area
Spare parts and accessories
Machinery and equipment for engine rebuilding

And to stay in line with the topics normally discussed by The Ultimate Tooling, it is just at the pavilion of the equipment and machine tools for engines rebuilding and engines machining, that we focus our greatest attention.

Moving from the machinery pavilion to the other areas of spare parts and racing engines, we find a bit of everything.

From lightweight aluminum pistons to strengthened rods, from crankshafts to cylinder heads and engine blocks, and even valves, lubricants, brakes, shock absorbers, etc…

Without forgetting high performance engines, and racing cars for competition on display.

The visual impact showed an increasing number of visitors compared to the previous editions, thanks to the numerous participants who crowded the corridors of the Indiana Convention Center.

The first day of Thursday, December 6th was mostly addressed by insiders coming not only from the United States, but from almost every part of the world including Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.

The days of Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December, on the other hand, recorded for the most part a notable number of visitors and mechanics coming from the US.

Conclusions

With the massive presence of exhibitors and visitors, the PRI 2018 – Performance Racing Industry is confirmed to be undoubtedly the most specialized exhibition in the world for what concerns the engine rebuilding industry.
