Automechanika 2022
After the missed 2020 edition due to Covid-19, Automechanika, the world’s biggest trade fair for the automobile aftermarket, is back.
The exhibition as usual, was held from 13 to 17 September 2022 at the Frankfurt exhibition center.
As guests at our partner company Magido Group‘s stand, The Ultimate Tooling was there to let you discover about all of the latest industry news and previews.
The most well-known companies and significant players in the business were present, despite the fact that attendance was notably fewer than at prior editions and certain firms were oddly absent.
Now let’s take a look at the different companies exhibiting and the products on display, with the usual focus on engine rebuilding and car repair machinery.
MAGIDO
Let’s begin in Hall 8.0, dedicated to workshop equipment. Here we found the Magido stand wich gently hosted us, and we had the chance to take a look at the parts washers on display at Automechanika 2022.

PEG
Our other partner company PEG – Rossi & Kramer welcomed us to their stand, showing us some products among their valve grinding machines and valve seats machines.

Next to PEG – Rossi & Kramer was the Serdi stand displaying their range of valve seat machines.
At this edition of Automechanika, the French company Serdi exhibited the following models of engine valve seat boring machines:

- Serdi 3.5 – Engine valve seat machine
- Serdi 4.5 – Valve seat cutting machine for large engines

COMEC
The Comec stand was set up with numerous products from their extensive machinery production in both the brake and engine sectors.

POLEKS
At the Poleks stand, the historic Turkish company that manufactures engine rebuilding machinery, we are welcomed with great enthusiasm by the two owners Ibrahim and Fatih Polat, who kindly show us the models on display at Automechanika 2022.
At the Poleks stand it was possible to see at work:
- YT 1800 cylinder head resurfacing machine
- RM 320 CNC boring and milling machine for engine blocks
- YPT 500 surface skimming machine
- YT 150 valve shim grinder

KWIK WAY
Then we went to Hall 9.1 to meet the delegation of American manufacturers, including our partner company Irontite, which produces the famous Kwik-Way SVS II Deluxe valve grinder, which was on display at their stand.
OMAP – SOGIMUT
We finally moved on to Hall 9.0 where we met the warm staff of OMAP – SOGIMUT, who welcomed us with great enthusiasm.
The staff was really kind and accommodating, allowing us to look at all the products on display.
As a reminder, on this occasion OMAP-Sogimut exhibited specific chucks for crankshaft grinders suitable for brands such as Berco, AZ, Zanrosso, Scledum, Winona Van Norman and others.
