Automechanika 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany
The 25th edition of Automechanika 2018, the world’s most important trade fair in the automotive and garage equipment sector, has recently come to its end.

As usual, the important biennial exhibition took place at the Frankfurt exhibition centre in Germany, from 11 to 15 September 2018.
Considering the enormous size of Automechanika 2018, it becomes virtually impossible to give a complete description of the entire exhibition and we therefore decide to concentrate only in Pavilion 8, which covers all the workshop equipment that is of most interest to us, leaving aside all the parts and accessories.
Automechanika 2018: the Pavilion 8
As mentioned above, we focus our attention exclusively on Pavilion 8 of Automechanika 2018, which is the heart of the equipment and machinery for vehicle repair workshops.
At this edition of Automechanika 2018 the number of exhibitors present with their products was impressive.
Tire repair equipment
Regarding machinery and equipment for tire repair, there were the major brands of tire changers, wheel balancers and lifting equipment such as RAVAGLIOLI, GIULIANO, CORGHI, M&B ENGINEERING, HPA-FAIP.

Keeping on the subject of tires and tire repairer is certainly worth mentioning the brand CAP, young Italian company that is carving out a place more and more as a protagonist in the field of hydraulic impact wrenches.
Part washing machines
As far as the world of traditional part washing machines is concerned, the attention has certainly been catalysed by the Italian company MAGIDO which exhibited for the occasion the models L190, L102 and HP25.
On the other hand, the space for the innovative ultrasonic part washing machines, which allow impeccable cleaning even in the most inaccessible areas of the parts, was disputed by the Spanish TIERRATECH and ULTRATECNO.
Engines and brakes repair
The companies specialising in brakes and engines repair machines, on the other hand, were almost all concentrated along the G corridor.
In fact there were the French SERDI and the Italian PEG for the valve seat machines.

Following the Slovenian Carmec which introduced an absolute new machine, the SG 1400M, a brand new CBN-PCD cylinder head and block resurfacer.
Definitely the most interesting and admired novelty of Automechanika 2018.
There were also AZ SPA with a Cylinder boring machine and a CNC resurfacing machine and the American ROTTLER with a wide range of machines including the CNC utomatic surfacing machines, S85A and S86A that we have already presented in a previously article.

Conclusions
As mentioned at the beginning, many companies attended Automechanika 2018, but it would have been impossible to visit them and present them all one by one.
We hope that we have shown you the most significant and interesting ones and that we have given an overview of the 25th edition of Automechanika 2018 that has just ended.
